Joshua Rexford

Joshua Rexford is a follower of Jesus, husband to Tabitha, father to Japheth and Avonlea, and a storyteller. And he strives to keep it in that order. When not off on adventures, the four of them live in Tennessee.

A storyteller since he could talk, Joshua has always been enthralled by bringing imagination to life. As a twelve-year-old watching the behind-the-scenes for, “The Lord of the Rings” he began to see the power of well-told stories. From that a calling to create Christ-honoring stories, he began to develop into a “theology of storytelling”. The combined passion to create and to do so for the glory of Jesus Christ would later result in the founding of AD 33 Productions.

From a writing mentorship to direct involvement in twenty theater productions, five feature films, as well as numerous short films and commercial projects Joshua has continued to hone his skills. Over the last decade, he has written and re-written six full-length theatrical productions, a documentary, two screenplays, a short film, and numerous skits and sketches.

Silas Leupold

Silas is a no-nonsense believer in Jesus Christ, a loving husband to Emily, and the “fun parent” to their son Gideon. They live in Tennesee in a house that really belongs to their fluffy cat, Carly.

A native of Washington State, Silas has been a storyteller and filmmaker since he finished watching the movie adaptation of “Eragon” and thought… “even I could do better than that.” Since that fateful moment, he has developed a passion for and insightful knowledge of all things relating to telling stories through film. Over the years he has also acquired skills as a cinematographer, gaffer, editor, story consultant, and much more.

Though Silas was an actor in our first theater productions he was more officially roped into AD 33 when he volunteered to help with our first film “Without Excuse” in 2012. Armed with a film degree from Full Sail University, an eye for detail, and a strong work ethic, Silas continues to bring increasing levels of technical skill and storytelling expertise to AD 33’s productions.
